What are the driver / rider age requirements?Minimum age to drive 18 years plus valid driver’s license. Minimum age to ride 6 years.

What are the physical requirements / restrictions?The Seakarts can accommodate three people, one driver and up to two riders. Total weight limit of 500lbs. Guests cannot participate if they possess or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol; have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk (including pregnancy); cannot swim.

What is your riding zone?Your adventure will be led by a Security Boat through the inlet and ocean (weather permitting). Our riding area will generally cover a total distance of 15 miles. The crew on the water will assist with boundaries and departing/returning to the dock. They are here to ensure safety and enhance your experience.

Do you give instructions?Absolutely! We make sure you are confident in riding, understanding the area, and operating the Seakart before we head out. We explain every safety aspect and answer all questions you may have. We also recommend you watch our safety briefing video prior to your adventure!

What about safety?Every guest must participate in our operating instructions and safety briefing. It is the guest’s responsibility to listen to the instructions, and to request explanation if they have any questions. South Carolina Law requires a life jacket, which will be provided and must be worn at all times while underway. Our team members are CPR/First Aid certified. We want our guests to have a SAFE and enjoyable time on the water!

How early to arrive?It is VERY important that your entire party arrive 15 minutes early for your reservation. We will depart ON TIME as to not interfere with the other Seakart guests. The tour will begin following our operating instructions and safety briefing (approx. 15 minutes).

What to wear & bring?You may get wet when driving and riding the Seakart! Water and sun protective clothing and sunscreen recommended. Flip flops and water shoes are permitted. All other shoes must be stored in the lockers provided at the dock. Cell phones are strictly prohibited on the Seakart.

Where to park?Free parking is available in the adjacent lot. Note the aerial parking map below. Be sure to take a picture of your license plate prior to leaving your vehicle, so we may assist with parking validation. Scan one of the QR codes located around the lot and follow the steps. The Seakart crew will provide the validation code when you check in at the dock.

Do you take photos?The Seakart crew loves taking photos of our guests. Following your adventure, you will receive a complimentary digital album with pictures that you can share and post! Cell phones are strictly prohibited on the Seakart.

What is your inclement weather policy?Shore weather can be fickle and isolated, causing forecasts to often be inaccurate. We suggest booking your preferred date/time and in the event of inclement weather, we will contact you to reschedule for later that day or another day. The team at Seakart Adventure SC constantly monitor the weather (in real time) to ensure a safe and memorable trip! Seakart Adventure SC reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel any rental due to inclement weather or other unsafe circumstances. Refunds or discounts are not guaranteed for rentals that end early, including due to inclement weather.

What is your cancellation policy?Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the rental start time to receive full refund. No call/no shows are charged 100% of their reservation. If you arrive after your rental start time, we reserve the right to cancel without refund. If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Do not wait until your rental time to cancel.

What if we damage the Seakart?A major credit card that matches the name on the booking must be provided for a $500 damage deposit per Seakart. We will hold your card while you ride. If the Seakart returns with no damages, we will release your card. Upon delivery and return, Seakart Adventure SC will inspect the watercraft for any damages. The deposit will be applied toward the cost of any repairs or any and all damages suffered to the watercraft and/or equipment. If the cost of damages exceeds the damage deposit, the renter agrees that they are fully responsible for the remainder of the costs incurred to repair or replace the watercraft to the same condition as the time the rental agreement was started. The renter also understands that they are responsible for the retrieval and/or replacement of the watercraft, life jackets, or any safety items, if these items are stolen or misplaced during the rental period. Should any damages exceed the $500.00 damage deposit, Seakart Adventure SC will provide an itemized repair bill, including lost rental time, which must be paid in full upon presentation of the bill. The renter shall be responsible for damages at and beyond the $500.00 damage deposit. The renter agrees to pay any and all attorney’s fees and court costs associated with collecting payment of the repair bill.
